The Notre Dame Football program will see a lot of new faces on defense this upcoming season, and here are three potential new impact players.

Looking at the 2021 Notre Dame Football team, there is a lot to like about the defensive side of the ball. The unit is loaded with veteran talent, and with an elite defensive coordinator like Marcus Freeman, they should be one of the best in the country.

However, to reach their full potential, the Irish will need some new players to step up, and we look at three newcomers on defense who could get a chance to make a big impact this Fall.

No. 3: Prince Kollie

When it comes to the linebacker position, the Notre Dame Football program has one of the best coaches at any level. Marcus Freeman is not only the premier linebacker coach at the college level, but he also has been offered jobs as a linebacker coach at the NFL level, and he will have a tremendous talent to work with in Prince Kollie.

The 2021 Irish have a ton of talent at linebacker, including veteran guys who will be expected to lead the team on that side of the ball. However, Kollie is a player that I could see rocketing up the depth chart this summer, as he was a four-star prospect who was rated one of the top-20 linebackers in the entire country by Rivals.
