Notre Dame football: Interview with 2022 commit Tyson Ford

Prepping for his senior season

Smith: Heading into your senior season, how are you preparing for it?

"Ford: “A really good pairing. I’m just lifting about 4-5 days a week. Well, I actually wanted to cut down on my body fat, so I was running five, 10 Ks not every day, but about 4 to 5 days, which is still a lot. My dad actually doesn’t like that I’m running that much, but I told him it was for a reason. I told him I had to do it because I got to be ready when I go up there. I can’t be the only one acting like this is a surprise and I got to be ready over there. So, I’m still doing my D-line training about three to four days a week. I just want to make sure I’m just preparing for it and not just my senior season, but for my first college season, cause I’m going to be graduating early. I’m going to be up there in January for spring ball. So I’m really excited. I got to be ready for that.”"

Smith: “Especially, for making a day one impact, this, all this running as hard work is definitely going to pay off for that.”
