No. 2: Cincinnati Bearcats

In the fifth game of the season, the Notre Dame football team will welcome the Cincinnati Bearcats to Notre Dame Stadium in a game with more than enough storylines. Not only will the Bearcats be one of the better Group of 5 teams in the country this season, but they also will challenge for a College Football Playoff spot.

To do so, they will have to go through the Irish, as well as their former head coach in Brian Kelly, and their recent defensive coordinator in Marcus Freeman. This is going to be a monster game for Freeman, though, as he helped build Cincinnati into a national power, and will now have to face the kids he recruited in his first season at Notre Dame.

You can expect the fan base to be behind Freeman in a big way in the game, showing him the kind of love that will reiterate why he left Cincinnati for South Bend in the first place. Oh year, this is also going to be an exciting matchup, as the Bearcats have an elite quarterback in Desmond Ridder and a punishing defense that nearly beat Georgia in their bowl game last year.
