The Notre Dame football program had a second visit from Dante Moore this week, and his landing in South Bend is starting to look like a real possibility.

The Notre Dame football program is loading up with talent in their 2022 recruiting class, as it has become one of the top-5 classes in the country so far. The Irish have landed 19 commits already, including 13 four-star players, giving them the No. 4 overall class as of Thursday according to 247Sports.com.

For the 2023 recruiting class, the Irish have already struck gold, landing five-star recruit, Brenan Vernon from Ohio. The Irish were able to pluck Vernon from the Ohio State Buckeyes, and he will be a key on this defensive line for years to come, as he is a top-20 player in the country, and the No. 2 ranked player in the state.

Looking ahead, the Irish will be looking to add some elite talent on the offensive side of the ball as well, and it looks like they are making real headway with five-star signal-caller Dante Moore. This is a kid who is currently ranked as the No. 14 player in the country and has now been to South Bend twice.

Notre Dame football loaded at quarterback going forward

If Moore does land in South Bend, he is joining a loaded group at the quarterback position, including 2021 recruit Tyler Buchner, and 2022 recruit, Steve Angeli. Those guys will be fighting it out with Drew Pyne for the starting job next season, and if Moore comes in, it makes the competition in 2023 one to really keep an eye on.

Moore tossed 30 touchdowns last season against only three interceptions, racking up over 1,700 yards through the air. He can do it all and would come in and be in serious contention to start as a true freshman.

Moore is a special talent, and we have already seen that the Irish have been able to pull in five-star talent for the 2023 recruiting class. This has been an incredible run in terms of recruiting for Irish, who are building top-5 classes for both the 2022 and 2023 haul.
