Notre Dame football: Which OT has the most to prove in 2021?
By Brad Weiss
The Notre Dame football team is revamping the offensive line, and here is which offensive tackle has the most to prove in 2021.
Looking ahead to the 2021 college football season, the Notre Dame football team will have to figure out a way to replace eighty percent of their starting offensive line. Last season, the Irish were loaded upfront, as four of their starters are now starting their NFL journeys, including both of their starting tackles.
Left tackle Liam Eichenberg was an anchor for this offensive line for years, and made sure that Ian Book basically remained untouched the last few seasons. On the other side, Robert Hainsey was one of the more versatile offensive linemen in the program, and he would go on to be a fourth-round selection of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As we turn the page to 2021, new faces will be starting at the offensive tackle spots, including a possible true freshman, and another player who has more than enough starting experience. As is the case with multiple spots on this roster, offensive tackle is a question mark, and the hope is that it will end up being a strength, instead of a weakness.
With that said, we take a quick look at the offensive tackle position, and which player on the Irish has the most to prove in 2021.
