The Notre Dame football team is losing four of its five starters along the offensive line, meaning many will have to prove they belong in 2021.

One of the bigger questions surroudning the 2021 Notre Dame football team is the offensive line, which lost so much talent to the NFL this offseason. With Liam Eichenberg, Aaron Banks, Robert Hainsey, and Tommy Kraemer all gone, it is time for Brian Kelly to revamp the starting lineup, and there is certainly enough talent left over to do so.

The only returning start from the 2020 squad, one that was a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, is center Jarrett Patterson, who is making the move to offensive guard this season. That means four new starters will have to step up in 2021, and it will be a collection of veteran guys who have waited their turns, and some possible true freshman.

Notre Dame football is known for producing high-level offensive lineman, and there is enough talent on campus for this to be one of the best groups in college football once again this season. However, there are so many unknowns, and we will see early on if Kelly has the right five together in front of new quarterback, Jack Coan.

Here, we look at which member of the interior offensive line has the most to prove in 2021.
