Notre Dame football: Which IOL has the most to prove in 2021?

Who has the most to prove?

The key to this whole interior offensive line dominating has nothing to do with the offensive guard spot, but instead, the center position. Last season, when Patterson went down with an injury, Zeke Correll stepped up for the Irish, starting in some huge games, including the ACC title game, and the Rose Bowl.

All signs point to him being able to come in and start, and also dominate, giving the Irish an incredible trio within the interior of this offensive line. He has to prove he can get the job done, though, because if Spindler keeps trending the way he has been, Patterson moving back to center to get Spindler into the starting lineup is not out of the question.

Overall, despite all the losses along the offensive line, the Notre Dame football team should have one of the better overall units in the country. The interior of the offensive line is going to be outstanding, with two possible All-Americans, and hopefully, Correll can hold down the center position all season long.
