The Notre Dame football team features many players who will have a huge impact on the 2021 season including Nos. 20-16 on our list.

The Notre Dame football team opens their season against the Florida State Seminoles on Labor Day weekend, looking to build off another appearance in the College Football Playoff last season. Many players, inexperienced and veteran, hope to make their stamp on the 2021 campaign from Tallahassee to Palo Alto.

Impact can vary based on skill and position. Junior punter Jay Bramblett might possess one of the highest levels of skill at the punter position in the country, but does not have the opportunity to impact the game like Jack Coan. Weighing these factors help arrive at an answer of who is most impactful.

Last season, fifth-year quarterback Ian Book made the largest impact on the Irish. He threw for 2830 yards with 15 touchdowns and three interceptions. As the quarterback and one of the captains of the 2020 team, he led the Irish offense, while also making big plays when they needed to be made.

A wide receiver, cornerback, two offensive tackles, and linebacker are featured on today’s list. These players could significantly alter the outcome of the 2021 Notre Dame football season. The Irish student-athletes expected at the top of this list, Kyle Hamilton and Kyren Williams, will play great this season; it is almost a given. However, if the players between No. 16 and No. 20 meet their potential, Notre Dame have another special season.

Each year, the Slap the Sign staff votes on the list of most impactful players for the upcoming season. Today, we unveil Nos. 20-16 on our list.
