The Notre Dame football program had nine draft picks in the 2021 Draft, and we see where they land on the first unofficial depth charts of the preseason.

The 2021 NFL preseason will have their first full slate of games this week, and the Notre Dame football program will be on full display. During the 2021 NFL Draft, the Irish saw nine players selected, and all of them are trying to carve out roles at the NFL level this summer.

Here, we look at where the 2021 Notre Dame NFL Draft picks land on their team’s first unofficial depth charts of the preseason.

No unofficial depth charts yet: New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers

Of the nine players selected during the 2021 NFL Draft, three of them have yet to appear on unofficial depth charts, as they have not been released yet. Those players, Ian Book, Aaron Banks, and Robert Hainsey, are currently working their way into roles with their respective teams, and all signs point to all three earning spots on the 53-man roster.

Currently, Book is locked in as the third quarterback on the Saints behind Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston, who are both fighting it out for the starting job. He does appear to be above Trevor Siemian right now and is in a great program with Sean Payton and company in New Orleans.

Hainsey is behind a star in Tristan Wirfs, and with Donovan Smith at the other tackle spot, cracking the starting lineup is going to be an uphill battle. However, he has tremendous versatility, and there is no reason why he can’t earn some significant reps with the reigning Super Bowl champs before his rookie year is out.

Then there is Aaron Banks, who is third at left guard according to ourlads.com, but as a second-round pick, you have to believe he is going to get every chance to start in Year 1. He and Mike McGlinchey are both former Irish stars to keep an eye on in the Bay Area as we start the preseason.
