Notre Dame football: Where Irish rookies land on 1st unofficial depth charts

Day 3 picks fighting for roles

We close out with the Irish’s Day 3 picks, and while there is no current unofficial depth chart for Book and the Saints, the final three members of the Notre Dame football draft class have their early roles. For both Daelin Hayes and Ade Ogundeji, they are moving to linebacker at the next level, while Ben Skowronek is trying to carve out a place in a deep wide receiver room in Los Angeles.

For Hayes and Ogundeji, they are both currently listed as fourth-string linebackers, which is not a shock considering they were both fifth-round picks. Skowronek is listed as a third receiver at one of the three wide receiver positions with the Rams but based on the talent at the position, I actually like the seventh-round pick to make the 53-man roster.

Overall, this is going to be an exciting summer for this Notre Dame football program, as the team gets ready to get back to the CFP, and some former stars look to find their footing at the next level. Preseason football is usually boring for the most part, but not when so many Irish players are fighting for their NFL lives on a weekly basis.
