The Notre Dame football program has a tough schedule in 2021, and here is one playmaker on offense for each of their opponents.

The 2021 Notre Dame football team has some pretty high expectations, this after being ranked No. 9 overall in the first AP Poll. This is a program that has been to two of the last three College Football Playoffs, and one that rolled through the regular season undefeated last season.

The problem is, this is also a program that will see a lot of change this season, especially at the quarterback spot. Ian Book was a fourth-round pick of the New Orleans Saints in the 2021 NFL Draft, and as he starts his NFL journey, the Irish look to replace him with graduate transfer Jack Coan.

On defense, the Irish should be stout, as they have veterans at all three levels, and some All-American talent in both the secondary and along the defensive line. There are stars to replace on that side of the ball as well, including All-American linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, but for the most part, a bunch of talent remains.

That defense is going to be leaned upon in a big way this season, and looking at the schedule, every team has at least one playmaker they will need to focus on.
