Notre Dame football: Offensive star to worry about on each 2021 opponent

Game No. 7: USC, QB Kedon Slovis

The USC Trojans will come to town to renew their rivalry with the Notre Dame Football team, and they will do so with one of the better quarterbacks in the country. Many believe that Kedon Slovis is going to be a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and he will be looking to put a nice capper on what has been a solid collegiate career.

Since taking over as the starter for the Trojans, Slovis has proven to be quite accurate, posting a 70 percent completion percentage at USC. Throughout his career, he has tossed only 16 interceptions, and last season, he was named first-team All-Pac 12, this after being the conference’s Freshman of the Year back in 2019.

The Trojans are going to look to take it to the air against this Irish defense, so this will be a great opportunity for Kyle Hamilton to excel against someone who will likely join him in the first round next April. USC and Notre Dame is one of the better rivalries in college football, and for the Irish to make the CFP, they are going to have to slow down Slovis and this USC offense.
