Notre Dame football: 4 FSU Seminoles who must be stopped in Game No. 1
Jermaine Johnson, Defensive End
Another transfer from an SEC school, Jermaine Johnson is in his first season with Florida State, this after appearing in 21 games for the Georgia Bulldogs. A dominant pass rusher, Johnson is long, fast, and explosive, and some believe that he could be the most talented player on the entire Florida State roster.
With a new offensive line in place in 2021, the Irish need to make sure they know where Johnson is lining up at all times because he is going to bring the pressure. True freshman Blake Fisher will be tested in his first collegiate start by Johnson, who has a great burst, as well as an incredible first step.
Florida State does not have that many players who pop of the paper, but Johnson is certainly one of them, and he plays a premium position within this defense. Fisher has proven to be the real deal since landing on campus, but we will get to see first-hand how he does against a player who could be one of the best edge rushers in the ACC this season.
