The Notre Dame football team is a little over a week away from kicking off the 2021 campaign, and we look at ten things that will define the season.

With the 2021 Notre Dame football season a week away, it’s time to look at what is truly important for the Irish this season. That means looking at those factors that are going to define this season on the field, as well as how fans perceive the current state of the program.

There are different categories of things that can make it onto this list. For instance, an important game or player could have an impact on this season. Other times, it can be an x-factor that Notre Dame has less control over as a program than other items on this list.

Still, they matter and will change how we perceive the 2021 season to go.

There, of course, are plenty of different things that can go on over the course of a season that no one expects. A player like Kyren Williams can come on the scene and take over out of nowhere, and there isn’t much of a way to predict that. Other times, it’s a player that you see coming, like Kyle Hamilton bursting onto the scene in 2019. Either way, though, those season-defining moments and people are how you remember a season by.

So, here are the ten things that will define Notre Dame’s 2021 season.
