The Notre Dame football team takes on Florida State in a huge Week 1 matchup Sunday night, and here are three members of the Irish to watch.

With the regular season-opening matchup against Florida State only days away, now is the time when you start to really take a deep dive into what the game could look like. The Notre Dame football team is replacing a bunch of talent from last year’s roster, and this is going to be no cupcake game to kick off their 2021 slate.

After making it to the College Football Playoff for the second time in three years last season, there is a lot of pressure on the program to keep moving in the right direction. While they have played in the CFP, they have not looked good, and it has been a while since the Irish have done anything of substance when it comes to their bowl games.

That could change this season, as they have a veteran group on the defensive side of the ball, including some All-American talent. On offense, they have revamped the line, as four starters from last year have gone on to the NFL, but those stepping in are not only talented enough to take over starting spots, but it could gel into one of the best units in college football.

On both sides of the ball, we are going to see new faces in some big spots, and those players are going to be the ones to keep an eye on Sunday night inside Doak Campbell Stadium.
