Florida State vs. Notre Dame Football: Game preview and prediction in Week 1

Prediction

Looking at this game from afar, it is easy to say that the Irish are going to roll, as they have the better players, as well as the better coaching staff. However, after seeing Ohio State fight for their lives against Minnesota, and UNC losing on the road to Virginia Tech, there is cause for concern or this Irish team.

For one, they have a lot of new starters, including a brand new offensive line, and question marks at wide receiver. On defense, they have to replace Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, the heart and soul of that side of the ball last season, as well as NFL-caliber edge rushers in Daelin Hayes and Ade Ogundeji.

Florida State has good backs, and both quarterbacks are solid, so the offense could be tough to stop at times. In the end, I believe that the Irish will get off to a slow start, but recover in time to pull away late against a Florida State team that is just not there yet.

As always, you can place your own bets utilizing WynnBet, cashing in on the action as we kick off the regular season. The Irish should be able to win this one, but it could end up being a dogfight, so buckle up for what should be a very exciting Week 1 matchup on Sunday night.
