Notre Dame football to battle FSU
Florida State Seminoles quarterback McKenzie Milton (10) runs the ball down the field. The Florida State Seminoles play Notre Dame football in Week 1, and here, they hosted a limited number of fans for the Garnet and Gold Spring Game Saturday, April 10, 2021.Garnet And Gold Edits018 /

The Notre Dame football team is taking on Florida State and inspirational quarterback McKenzie Milton, and he is certainly worth rooting for.

I try not to hide the fact that I’m a fan of certain teams, after all, while I consider myself a sportswriter, by no means am I a journalist. I grew up a Notre Dame football fan, and have been writing about the Irish for three or so years now, but I don’t pretend to have gone to Notre Dame, though.

I went to two schools, actually, UCF and UMass. I’m a fan of both of those two teams as well. I try to wear my fandoms on my sleeve. It’s easier than pretending that our inherent biases don’t exist.

That simple fact that I went to UCF is plenty of reason for me to be rooting for one player ahead of all other players during Sunday’s game between Notre Dame football and Florida State. In fact, I’ll be rooting for one player on Florida State all season long ahead of any other in all of college football.

McKenzie “KZ” Milton is back. A wizard at quarterback and the most important player in the history of UCF football, ahead of the likes of Daunte Culpepper, Kevin Smith, Brandon Marshall, or Asante Samuel.
