UCF tries to move on

The UCF community came together in an embrace of Milton’s native Hawaii. The slogan that everyone embraced was #10hana, a play on KZ’s number 10, and the word Ohana, meaning family. Leis were given out to fans in attendance, and some players even risked uniform violations to wear them too.

It was a slow start for Mack Jr. He was struggling with fumbles and clear nerves throughout the game. Memphis was running through a UCF defense that looked distracted. It was the fourth time in two seasons that UCF and Memphis had played one another, and this time it looked like the Tigers were going to get their first win against the Knights in decades.

Then halftime came, adjustments were made, and UCF came from behind, 17 points in the second quarter to win 56-41. It was a win for Milton, who was still too weak to go to the game. UCF would go on to play LSU in the Fiesta Bowl, where their winning streak would finally come to an end by one score.
