Notre Dame football releases hype tape ahead of FSU matchup (video)

The Notre Dame football will take on Florida State tonight, and their hype tape for the Week 1 matchup is certain to get you amped up for the game.

Week 1 of the 2021 college football season is officially here, and for the Notre Dame football team, that means a matchup against Florida State. Playing on the road in primetime will give the Irish a good view of what the team could look like this season, as they look to once again be one of the four teams in the College Football Playoff.

It has been a long offseason for the Notre Dame football program, as they have brought in a new defensive coordinator in Marcus Freeman, and revamped a lot of their starting roster. Of course, that will happen when so many players leave for the NFL, but the talent has been restocked, and they go into the 2021 campaign as a top-10 team.

Their opponent on Sunday night is a proud program in the Florida State Seminoles, but also a program that is down right now. They will be looking to shake off a tough 2020 campaign and can kick their 2021 season off in a big way if they can upset the No. 9 team in the country.

Notre Dame football released Week 1 hype video

To beat the Irish, the Seminoles may have to play perfect football, as Notre Dame is better up front on both sides of the ball, and could be unstoppable on offense if the offensive line gels in Week 1. On Saturday, the program released a hype video for the Week 1 matchup against the Seminoles, and you can view the hype tape for the Florida State game here.

Obviously, the Irish must get off to a fast start in this one, as we have already seen numerous upsets in Week 1, which is a bit of a trend as of late in college football, and the pros. Teams are starting to get a look at what their new starters look like, and if you let a lesser team hang around, bad things could happen.

It all gets started tonight at 7:30 PM ET, and it is going to be interesting to see how this offense runs with a new quarterback in Jack Coan. The graduate transfer has some elite weapons in Michael Mayer and Kyren Williams, but this will be a good early-season test for him, and the rest of the Irish offense.

For now, enjoy the video!
