Notre Dame football went in and won a thrilling overtime game against Florida State on Sunday night, but how did each offensive unit grade out?

Notre Dame football decided to let Florida State hang around all night, and eventually, the Irish let the Seminoles come back from down 18 to take the game to overtime. It was stressful and there is a ton to dissect, but the offense should be looked at as a positive overall after the game.

After all, 41 points is a massive game, and for week 1 when there is rust to kick of and kinks to work out, it’s a very good performance.

So, there was clearly a lot of good. There was also a lot that needs to be worked on. Tommy Rees’ play calling was suspicious at times and became far too conservative at the end of the game. After Coan and the Irish showed success throwing downfield, Rees backed off, like he didn’t want to push his luck.

There were also clear issues on the offensive line that need to be addressed over the week. A bunch of drops, double-catches, and underthrown balls didn’t help the effort either, so overall, while the offense was able to put up points in bunches, they have to work on being more consistent in their play, and playcalling moving forward.

So, how did everyone grade out in the opening game of the year?
