Notre Dame Football vs. Toledo: 3 Irish players to watch in Week 2

Prince Kollie, Linebacker

If there is one position on this Notre Dame football team that has been bitten by the injury bug, it has been the linebacker group. From Marist Liufau getting hurt right before the opener to Paul Moala tearing an Achilles against Florida State, the Irish have seen what was once viewed as a strength turn into a real question mark.

When the Week 2 depth chart was released ahead of the Toledo game, a new name emerged at the WILL, and that was Prince Kollie. The true freshman is listed right behind J.D. Bertrand, and that means we can expect to see him line up against Toledo in his second collegiate game against a team he could have an impact against.

Overall, you have to like the chances for the Irish in this matchup, as they are the better team on both sides of the ball, and are coming off a huge road win against Florida State. However, injuries are starting to stack up, and while this one likely won’t go down to the wire, the Irish have a lot of things to fix heading into Week 2.
