The Notre Dame football team takes on Toledo inside Notre Dame Stadium in Week 2, and here are three bold predictions for the Irish.

No one said the Florida State game was going to be easy, and if they did, they weren’t paying attention to how Florida State improved and Notre Dame football regressed this past offseason. This shouldn’t be the case against Toledo, though. Notre Dame has a significantly more talented team than the Rockets, who can be at the top end of the MAC but will still always be a MAC team.

Because of this gap, there should be a lot of different superlatives to be handed out for the Irish. In other words, there is a lot of room to work with when trying to find several bold predictions for the game this Saturday.

Notre Dame has several questions that they need to answer, like about their defensive consistency and the quality of their offensive line. Still, hit on a few of these bold predictions and no one will mind if the offensive line still has question marks that need to be answered. Against a team like Toledo, though, you should hit on a few of these while answering or figuring out the answers to those questions anyway.

So, here are three bold predictions ahead of Notre Dame’s home opener against Toledo.
