The Notre Dame football team will take on the Purdue Boilermakers in Week 3, and here are the keys to victory inside Notre Dame Stadium.

To say this has been a roller coaster of a start to the season for this Notre Dame football team would be an understatement, as they have looked so bad at times, and downright resilient at others. When the smoke clears, you will see a team that is currently No. 12 in the country, and 2-0, so they have not damaged their CFP chances too badly so far.

On Saturday, they have their biggest test yet, going up against an undefeated Purdue team, and here are three keys to victory in that one.

Getting pressure on Jack Plummer

This season, Purdue quarterback Jack Plummer has not faced much pressure, and that has led to him tossing six touchdowns against zero interceptions. He is completing nearly 74 percent of his passes and if the Irish do not get in his face early and often this weekend, he could be in for a big day against a defense that has looked very beatable so far this season.

Plummer’s favorite target is the biggest playmaker the Irish will have seen so far in David Bell, one of three players that absolutely must be stopped in this one. Purdue has the talent to make this a serious game, and in Plummer, they have a signal-caller who is not going to make mistakes and one who knows how to lean on his playmakers.
