Coming up with four bold predictions for Notre Dame football in their Week 3 matchup against the Purdue Boilermakers at home.

An in-state rivalry, Notre Dame football and Purdue is one of those games that has been widely lost due to the ACC agreement. This means there are a lot of expectations and excitement for fans who remember the old days of the rivalry and miss those classic Irish opponents.

For Notre Dame in 2021, it’s probably getting close to anxiety time. There are a couple of glaring issues on the Irish team that good teams are going to be able to take advantage of, which might mean a reset year in South Bend.

Of course, and on the other hand, Notre Dame has a lot of amazing strengths. This is a well-coached team that has a potentially great passing attack, while individual players are still elite and should be All-Americans this year.
