Notre Dame Football vs. Purdue: 4 bold predictions in Week 3

Kyle Hamilton Will Have Two Interceptions

So, it’s been established that Notre Dame is going to have two deal with Purdue’s passing attack. That’s what the Boilermakers lean on, and it should be a close game throughout for them to lean on. However, the Irish have an ace up their sleeve, All-American safety Kyle Hamilton.

Hamilton had two interceptions against Florida State, and he should have had a third against Toledo if it wasn’t for a questionable replay review. He sees the field incredibly well, lives off his elite instincts, and is one of the best pure athletes to ever play at Notre Dame.

It will largely be his job to keep Purdue’s passing attack in check, and he is more than capable of doing his part.

It’s incredibly important to remember that Marcus Freeman’s defense is designed to cause havoc and chaos. This means that Notre Dame should force more sacks and turnovers than they ever did under Clark Lea. However, it also leaves you vulnerable to big plays. Over time, the big plays should even out with the turnovers staying.

So, look no further than continued success here from Hamilton.
