The Notre Dame football team plays host to Purdue in Week 3, and here are five reasons why the Irish should win inside Notre Dame Stadium.

We are officially one day away from another Gameday inside Notre Dame Stadium, as this Notre Dame football team looks to run their record to 3-0 on the young season. This has been a crazy first few weeks for the Irish, needing overtime in Week 1, and then having to stage a comeback in Week 2, but here we are, undefeated and ready to welcome another opponent to South Bend.

Here, we take a look at the matchup on Saturday, and why this one will go to the Irish in the end.

Coaching

We start on the sidelines, where the Irish have the better coaching staff, and that is going to play a role in this game, especially late. It has been a strange start for new defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman, who has seen his defense allow way too many big plays, and that could be a cause for concern against a big-play offense like Purdue.

Brian Kelly is widely regarded as one of the best head coaches in all of college football, and playing in front of the home crowd, he is going to find a way to put his team in a position to beat Purdue on Saturday. It may get ugly at times, but a win here is crucial, especially with some daunting matchups on the horizon, so expect BK to cook up a solid game plan to ensure the victory.
