5 reasons Notre Dame football will beat Purdue in Week 3

Notre Dame Stadium

For the second week in a row, the Notre Dame football team will play inside the friendly confines of Notre Dame Stadium. Last weekend, the stadium was not jam-packed, but looking at ticket sales for Saturday, this place is going to rocking, and rightfully so, as this is a huge matchup for the Irish.

Purdue is coming into South Bend looking to make a statement, and this is a game that will likely be very close in the second half. For the Irish to pull it out, they will have to lean on the 12th man in this one, and you can be certain that Notre Dame Stadium is going to be loud, and tough for Plummer to handle in his first go-around as the full-time starter at Purdue.

The Irish will hit the road after this matchup, heading to Soldier Field to take on Wisconsin in what should be another huge matchup for this team. Getting this win at home is crucial if the Irish want to continue to stay in the College Football Playoff picture, and on Saturday, the folks in the stands will play a huge role in this one going in Notre Dame’s favor.
