Notre Dame Football vs. Wisconsin: 3 Badgers who must be stopped

Chez Mellusi, Running Back

The Notre Dame football team loves to get it going on the ground, that is for sure, but their opponent on Saturday also likes to do the same. Wisconsin is a legitimate Big Ten school, a program that likes to punch you in the mouth with their running backs, and they have a good one atop the depth chart.

Chez Mellusi leads a strong three-headed monster at the running back position, and he has already run the ball over 50 times for the Badgers across their two games. He is also averaging better than five yards per carry and can hit the hole hard and break loose thanks to his strong running style.

Wisconsin has three backs they can deploy at any time, keeping the hard-running Mellusi fresh throughout the game. The Irish will have to be tough up front in this one, and they have the talent to stop him, but this is going to be one of those key matchups that they have to win to come out of Soldier Field unscathed.
