The Notre Dame football team has a tall task ahead of them on Saturday, and here are three things to keep an eye on in the Week 4 matchup.

Looking to move their record to 4-0 on the season, the Notre Dame football team will have a tall task on Saturday, as they take on No. 18 Wisconsin inside Soldier Field. This game is a Shamrock Series game and will have COllege Gameday in the house, so it is a marquee matchup for the Week 4 college football slate.

With that said, here are three things to keep an eye on this Saturday.

Jack Coan vs. Graham Mertz

During the offseason, former Wisconsin starting quarterback Jack Coan transferred into Notre Dame, winning the starting quarterback job over Drew Pyne and Tyler Buchner. In his first, and only, season with the Irish, Coan has played to mixed results, dominating against Florida State, but struggling with accuracy since.

Coan was made available due to the rise of Graham Mertz at Wisconsin, who stepped in for Coan when he was injured for the 2020 season. That led to Wisconsin turning to Mertz permanently, even though Coan was outstanding for them as their starting quarterback.

Saturday, the two worlds collide, and this is by far the biggest storyline in terms of players in this one.
