The Notre Dame football team takes on Wisconsin on Saturday, and here are some bold predictions for the matchup inside Soldier Field.

At this point, the Notre Dame football vs. Wisconsin game at Soldier Field is the undisputed game of the week. ESPN is sending College Gameday there, and because this is a B1G 10 media game (with Notre Dame being the visiting team on a technicality) FOX holds the rights to show the game.

So, this will become the Big Noon Saturday game as well. and that’s before you consider all the storylines going into this game.

With a win, Brian Kelly passes Knute Rockne as the winningest coach in Notre Dame history. Fans can have their issues with Kelly, but that is absolutely insane and his contribution to Notre Dame over the last decade plus need to be recognized. This is also a game that features Jack Caon against his former team, and the quarterback who took his job.

Then, there is the Shamrock Series element added to this one.

All of that is before you consider the actual on-field storylines. How does Notre Dame address its offensive line? Will the defense play like they did against Purdue or against Florida State? What does the quarterback rotation look like for the Irish?

All of this leaves plenty of room for big and bold predictions, and here are three for this Saturday’s game against Wisconsin.
