The Notre Dame football team took care of the Wisconsin Badgers in Week 4, and here are three things we learned in the victory at Soldier Field.

The Notre Dame football team took on the Wisconsin Badgers inside Soldier Field on Saturday, a game that was the marquee matchup of the week. With College Gameday as a backdrop, the expectation was that the Irish would struggle against Wisconsin, coming in as a very sizeable underdog.

It had been an up and down season for the Irish up until that point, as they struggled to beat Florida State on the road in Week 1, needing overtime. Then there was the debacle against Toledo, one that nearly led to an upset inside Notre Dame Stadium, before a pretty business-like victory against Purdue in Week 3.

Going into Week 4, we did not know what to expect, as Jack Coan would be making a revenge start against the program he led to the Big Ten title game a few years back. There were also serious questions about the offensive line, and early on, it looked like it would be an issue once more.

When the smoke cleared, the Irish made a real statement with their 41-13 victory, and will now face the toughest test on their schedule, the Cincinnati Bearcats.
