Notre Dame football vs. Cincinnati: 3 Bearcats who must be stopped

Desmond Ridder, Quarterback

It is no big surprise who the No.1 Bearcat that must be stopped is, and that is quarterback Desmond Ridder, one of the better all-around signal-callers in the country. This is a kid who can flat out get the job done, whether he has to do it through the air, where he has plenty of weapons, or if he has to take off himself.

Someone on this Notre Dame defense is going to have to spy on him all game long because if he starts to get it going, they could be in for a long day. For the season, the reigning AAC Offensive Player of the Year has racked up 748 passing yards, is completing better than 65 percent of his passes, and has seven touchdowns against only two interceptions.

He also has two rushing touchdowns on the year.

Overall, he leads an explosive Cincinnati offense that is going to be a major test for this Irish defense on Saturday. This is a game loaded with storylines, and potential NFL players, so sit back and enjoy what could be a Game of the Year inside Notre Dame Stadium in Week 5.
