The Notre Dame football team will look to get back to winning on Saturday, as they travel to Blacksburg, Virginia to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies.

On Saturday, the Notre Dame football team suffered their first loss of the season, as No. 7 Cincinnati came into Notre Dame Stadium and dominated throughout. The Irish had their issues on both sides of the ball, but mostly on offense, as they continued to juggle quarterbacks, and struggled to get the ground game going.

That loss moved them from No. 9 to No. 14 in the latest AP Poll, and with no more ranked teams on their schedule, it is going to be tough for them to get back into the CFP conversation. However, there is still a lot left to play for this season, including running the table and finishing up with an 11-1 record, which would be a great story for this team.

This weekend, they hit the road for the first true road game since Week 1, going up against the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Notre Dame football vs Virginia Tech Odds Week 6

The Week 6 betting odds on WynnBET have the Irish as favorites in this one despite the loss this week, and despite the fact they are going on the road. They are a small favorite, going into this game giving the Hokies 1.5 points, but still, it shows that even Las Vegas feels the Irish will bounce back against a tough Virginia Tech team in Week 6.

Notre Dame football vs Virginia Tech Prediction Week 6

I believe that the experts are right and that the Irish are going to come fired in this one, looking to turn their season around. Of course, I do believe they have to stick with one quarterback, and Drew Pyne should be given the start over Jack Coan, and see what he can do with this offense.

Pyne can do a bit more with his legs, and against this Virginia Tech defense, that is going to be needed. I like the Irish to go to Blacksburg and play tough early on, edging out the Hokies by the score of 28-27, and moving to 5-1 on the season.
