The Notre Dame football team dropped their first game of the season against Cincinnati, 24-13, and here are the Studs and Duds from the loss.

No. 7 Cincinnati ended the 26-game home winning streak of the Notre Dame football team on Saturday afternoon, 24-13. The victory gave the Bearcats their first win against a top-10 team on the road. For the Irish, three first-half turnovers were too much to overcome.

For the Irish, the loss could mean the end of any hopes they have of returning to the College Football Playoff, as an undefeated season was likely needed to get there. In fact, this is a team that has struggled for most of the season, and when you are replacing 14 players that went off to the NFL, that is bound to happen.

Notre Dame football still has a chance to make this a very strong season, as they will be favored in every game they play the rest of the season. For now, we continue closing out the Cincinnati loss with our Studs and Duds, and there were certainly more than enough players to name in this game for either side.

The duds outweigh the studs this week, however, attempting to look on the bright side is an important part of life.
