Kyren Williams

Incredibly, the Notre Dame football team has struggled to run the ball this season, and a lot of that can be contributed to the fact that the offensive line has been in shambles. In fact, the offense as a whole has struggled to move the ball consistently, and that has led to a down year for redshirt sophomore running back Kyren Williams.

Last season, Williams ran through defenses weekly, but in 2021, he has yet to eclipse the 100-yard mark in any game, something that should change on Saturday night. With the Irish hopefully settling in on a quarterback, whoever it is will rely heavily on Williams and this run game, and I believe he will get to 100 yards for the first time this season, and then some.

This is a game that the Irish must-have, as it would be a solid bounce-back win on the road in hostile territory. Notre Dame football has the talent to run the table going forward, but they will need to be better than they have been the first five weeks outside of the fourth quarter of the Wisconsin game.

I believe they get on the right track Saturday night inside Lane Stadium.
