Notre Dame football at Virginia Tech: 3 things to watch in Week 6

Who starts at quarterback?

The million-dollar question surrounding the 2021 Notre Dame football team right now is who will start at quarterback against Virginia Tech. Brian Kelly has stated that the team knows who it is, and will go with only the one quarterback moving forward, so we will know the direction of the team on Saturday night.

All signs point to Drew Pyne being named the starter, this after he relieved Jack Coan the last two weeks, and has looked good doing so. Tyler Buchner is just not ready for the big stage, and you would not have to announce that Coan is sticking around as the starter, so it is likely the strong-armed Drew Pyne will be the starter

Pyne is a true sophomore, and will be given a chance to put his stamp on his college career and stake claim to being a starter in 2022, whether it is in South Bend, or elsewhere. You have to like his skill set and his never-say-die attitude, and for the 2021 Irish, this could be the shot in the arm they need to finish the season strong.
