The Notre Dame football team takes on Virginia Tech in Week 6, and here are three bold predictions for the matchup inside Lane Stadium.

There is going to be a lot of pressure on Notre Dame football following their first loss of 2021. They need to prove that they’re capable of winning these types of games, especially if the goal this season is to go to and win a New Year’s Six Bowl Game. Given how the Irish have played this year, that could be a massive task. After all, the offense has been a mess.

The biggest question is going to be who starts at quarterback for Notre Dame. Most would think it’s going to be either Jack Coan or Drew Pyne. Tyler Buchner is likely out, while most fans are ready to demand that Pyne is the starter going forward.

After all, based on his second half at Cincinnati, the Irish likely would have won if he had been the starter.

In any game like this, there is a lot that can go wrong or right. It’s a difficult game to predict or judge. I’m pretty sure Notre Dame football will win this game because of their defense and the top athletes on the offense. There are just a lot of questions about how they will win.

So, here are three bold predictions for this game.
