Notre Dame football: 6 Irish selected in 2022 7-round NFL Mock Draft

Round 2

58. player. 48. . Cornerback. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cam Hart

It is no big secret that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have struggled at the cornerback position this season, as they recently had to bring in veteran Richard Sherman to man one of the spots, and started him right away. This is one of the few holes on this roster, and in the second round of this mock, they get better by adding Cam Hart to the mix.

Hart would join teammate Robert Hainsey on the Bucs, and would instantly go in as a potential starter from Day 1. He has been one of the bright spots for this defense this season and has the right skill set for the pro level, making him an interesting prospect for one of the greatest teams in the NFL right now.

Round 3

28. . Center. Las Vegas Raiders. Jarrett Patterson. 89. player

The Las Vegas Raiders have been all over the headlines in recent days, and none of it has to do with the product they have put on the field. Outside of the Jon Gruden resignation, the Raiders have struggled on the field recently, losing their last two games, and they have gotten terrible play from the center position.

Before the 2021 season, the Raiders traded away the best center in football in Rodney Hudson, deciding to instead go with Andre James. That has not worked out, and in this mock, Cummings likes them to make a long-term move at the position group, bringing in Jarrett Patterson, who will be one of the top interior linemen in this draft class.
