Notre Dame football: 6 Irish selected in 2022 7-round NFL Mock Draft

Round 4

30. . Edge. New York Jets. Isaiah Foskey. 113. player

The New York Jets brought in Carl Lawson this offseason, and he was supposed to be a force along a defensive line headlined by Quinnen Williams. However, Lawson is out for the year, and while he will be back in 2022, the Jets need more than just him coming off the edge.

Enter Isaiah Foskey, a player I believe will rise a ton during the draft process, and one who is one of the top sack guys in the country right now. He would be an excellent fit for Robert Saleh and this Jets defense, becoming a star in New York for a team that should be on the rise in a year or two.

Running Back. New York Giants. Kyren Williams. 121. player. 31.

Staying with the New York theme, the New York Giants are the next team to take a member of the Notre Dame football team, adding star running back Kyren Williams. The Giants used a No. 2 overall pick on Saquon Barkley a few years back, and while he got off to a fast start to his NFL career, he has been ravaged by injuries as of late.

With this pick, the Giants can do a few things, and that includes paying Barkley a ton to extend his deal, or possibly walking away, saving them money, and banking on Williams. This would be an excellent pick for the Giants and based on his skill set, Williams would be a do-everything back for them if they move on from Barkley.

Round 5

156. player. 28. . Defensive Tackle. Las Vegas Raiders. Jayson Ademilola

The second selection of the Las Vegas Raiders in this mock draft in terms of Notre Dame football players is defensive tackle Jayson Ademilola. This is a kid who I believe is going to be a monster at the next level, and in Las Vegas, he would be a perfect fit, as Gus Bradley could move up all over the defensive line.

The Raiders have mixed and matched at the defensive tackle this season, bringing in a bunch of veterans this offseason, and also keeping Johnathan Hankins in the fold. Ademilola is a guy who I believe will see his draft stock rise during the draft cycle, making him a possible Day 2 pick before all is said and done.

We could certainly see more members of the Notre Dame football team go in this draft, as there were none selected in this mock draft after the fifth round. The Irish have a lot of work to do on the field, looking to run the table after a 5-1 start to the season, and in the process, we should see the draft stock of many players go up and down.
