The Notre Dame football team has a tough task ahead of them Saturday night, and here are three Irish players to watch in the matchup against USC.

On Saturday night, the Notre Dame football team will kick off the second half of their 2021 college football schedule against an old foe in the USC Trojans. It has been an up and down season for USC, who fired their head coach after two games but do have some elite talent on both sides of the ball.

Here, we look at three members of the Notre Dame football team that will be key against the Trojans.

Isaiah Foskey

The USC Trojans have some solid weapons on the offensive side of the ball, including star wideout Drake London, as well as a trio of running backs. For the Irish to come away with the victory on Saturday night, they have to cut off the head of the snake in Kedon Slovis, their star quarterback who is in his third season as the starter.

To get Slovis off his mark, Isaiah Foskey is going to need to continue what has been a breakout season for him in South Bend. Foskey is one of the top sack masters in the country this season, and against a very beatable USC offensive line, he should live in the backfield, especially on passing downs.
