The Notre Dame football team takes on USC in Week 8 in primetime, and here are three bold expectations for the rivalry game.

Coming out of their bye weeks, the Notre Dame football team and USC will battle it out inside Notre Dame Stadium in a primetime matchup on Saturday night. For the Irish, their 5-1 record has been hard to come by, but hopefully, with a week off, they are pointed in the right direction to finish the season strong.

Here, we will look at three bold predictions for the Irish in this rivalry matchup.

Notre Dame football vs. USC Trojans: 3 bold predictions in Week 8

Irish force three turnovers

The USC Trojans have some playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, including a quarterback in Kedon Slovis who came into the year as a potential first-round pick. However, Slovis has shown a tendency to throw the ball to the other team, racking up five interceptions already this season, and that could play into the Irish’s hands on Saturday night.

Drake London is a star at wide receiver, but the Irish should have enough talent on the outside to minimize the damage, making Slovis look elsewhere. There is also the fact that the Irish should be able to get a good pass rush, and in the end, it would not surprise me if Slovis tossed two interceptions to this Notre Dame defense.

All told I like the Irish to get a fumble recovery as well, making it three turnovers on the night for the Trojans.
