Notre Dame football vs. UNC Tar Heels: 3 things to watch

UNC with two weeks to prepare

The North Carolina Tar Heels were not supposed to have a season like this. Going into the 2021 campaign, there was a lot of College Football Playoff buzz surrounding them, and rightfully so, as their offense was armed with arguably one of the top-3 signal-callers in the country.

Unfortunately, the Tar Heels lost right out of the gate in a shocking loss at the hands of Virginia Tech, and have also gone on to lose to both Georgia Tech and Florida State since then. Their last time out, two weeks ago, they hosted the Miami Hurricanes, allowing 42 points in a 45-42 victory at home.

Head coach Mack Brown is outstanding, and going into this matchup, he has two weeks to prepare for the Irish. That could prove to be a difference-maker in this game, and while I do believe that Notre Dame should win this game, giving this coach more than a week to prepare is a scary scenario.
