The Notre Dame football team won their seventh game of the season on Saturday night, and here are three things we learned in the win over UNC.

Going into the season, the two-game stretch at home against USC and UNC seemed like a daunting task for the Notre Dame football team. However, after those two games have come and gone, the Irish have proved that they are the better program, and will head into their matchup with Navy next weekend with a 7-1 record.

Here, we look at three things we learned on Saturday night, as the Irish beat the Tar Heels, 44-34.

Notre Dame football vs. UNC Tar Heels: 3 things we learned in Week 9

The Irish are not losing the rest of the way

The Notre Dame football team has run through the toughest part of their second-half schedule and now have some easier games ahead of them against Navy, Virginia, and Georgia Tech before a road trip to Stanford. Based on those teams, the Irish should win out, finishing the season with an 11-1 record, especially with the way they are playing lately.

The Irish are dominating football games on the ground and getting timely stops, leading to some crucial victories out of the bye week. The slate gets easier from here on out, and the Irish are peaking at the right time.
