Notre Dame football: Games to keep an eye on in 2021 Week 10 slate

No. 5 Michigan State at Purdue

Earlier this season, the Notre Dame football team was able to take care of business against the Purdue Boilermakers, but it was not easy. Since then, Purdue has put together a few nice wins, including a monster victory against then-No. 2 Iowa, a game that saw them on the right side of a 24-7 score on the road.

This weekend, the Boilermakers will take on No. 5 Michigan State, a team that is very much in the mix for the College Football Playoff. Led by a potential Heisman Trophy-winning running back in Kenneth Walker, the Spartans are fresh off a monster victory against Michigan this past weekend and should be going into this game with a lot of confidence.

The problem is, this is Big Ten football, and you never know from week to week which team is going to be saddled with the upset. Purdue has proven they can go on the road and beat a top-5 team this season, so maybe getting the Spartans at home could be what they need to pull off another incredible upset.
