Notre Dame football vs. Navy Midshipmen: 3 Irish players to watch

Jayson Ademilola

It is no secret that the Navy Midshipmen like to run the football, as they won this past weekend against Tulsa without completing a single pass. In fact, they rushed for over 300 yards in the game, averaging better than five yards per carry, so that is something to keep an eye on in this matchup.

Luckily for the Irish, they are solid upfront, as they have a veteran unit that can be downright suffocating against the run game. Led by guys like Kurt Hinish and Jayson Ademilola, the Irish should be able to stop the Navy run game in a big way this weekend, and Ademilola could be the key here for the Irish.

Ademilola is a guy who is in the middle of a breakout season, and the NFL scouts are starting to notice his rare blend of size and athleticism. This will be a game where he can showcase just how hard of a player he is to block and the Navy Midshipmen better have a game plan for him if they hope to run the football effectively.
