Notre Dame football vs. Navy: 3 Midshipmen who must be stopped

Isaac Ruoss

The Navy Midshipmen love to run the football, that is no big secret, and they have a handful of players who can get the job done. One such player is Isaac Rouss, a senior who is second on the team with 111 carries this season and someone who can get the tough yardage when needed.

Ruoss has at least ten carries in all but one game this season, including a 21-carry for 84 yards game against Central Florida. He has proven that he can shoulder the load when he has to, and you can be sure he is going to be in the mix early and often within this matchup on Saturday afternoon.

The truth is, Navy can run the rock with a multitude of backs, so keying on Rouss, Carlinos Acie, and Chance Warren is paramount in this game. They also run it with their quarterback, as we talked about earlier, so if the Irish can stop this run game, this one should get ugly inside Notre Dame Stadium.
