Notre Dame football vs Navy: 4 reasonable expectations for the Irish in Week 10

Tyler Buchner runs and throws for a touchdown

The offensive line for the Irish have played much better as of late, and that has led to the resurgence of the rushing attack, and steady play from the quarterback spot. Jack Coan is the starter for the Irish and has played well in recent weeks, while true freshman comes in from time to time and gives the offense a spark.

One thing that Buchner has that Coan does not have is his ability to run the football, something we have seen him do a good job of doing the entire season. Against Navy, you can be sure the Irish are going to have plenty of chances to score touchdowns, and Buchner should play a big role in some of them.

In fact, it is not out of the question that Buchner will not only throw for a touchdown, but the coaching staff is going to put him in a position to find the end zone with his feet as well. He has become quite a playmaker in Year No. 1 in South Bend, and he is only going to get better from here on out, especially with the teams, the Irish have lined up to close the season.
