Notre Dame football vs Navy: 4 reasonable expectations for the Irish in Week 10

Irish keep Navy under 14 points

The Irish have yet to play an offense like the one that Navy runs, as they picked up the win this past weekend against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes without even completing a single pass. The triple-option is old-school football, and this is a program that can really hurt you once they get going on the ground.

Unfortunately for Navy, the Irish are not the Golden Hurricanes, and they have elite players on all three levels of their defense. As 22-point favorites, Notre Dame football is likely to roll over the Midshipmen on Saturday afternoon, and the defense could be in for their best game of the season.

In fact, I like the Irish to stop the rushing attack of the Midshipmen early on, forcing them to try and take it to the air, where they will struggle. They may get some garbage yards down the stretch, but I do not see any way they score more than 14 points against this defense at home in Week 10.
