Notre Dame football vs Navy: 4 reasonable expectations for the Irish in Week 10

JD Bertrand racks up ten-plus tackles

One player that the Midshipmen have that could be a problem for the Irish on Saturday is linebacker Diego Fagot, who is without a doubt the best pure football player on this team. In fact, many feel that Fagot has a career ahead of him in the NFL, he is that good and has racked up over 70 tackles already this season.

On the other side of the coin is the Notre Dame defense, led by a star linebacker of their own in JD Bertrand. Like Fagot, Bertrand is by far the leading tackler on his team, as he has over 70 tackles himself, and has already put together some fantastic games this season for the Irish.

On Saturday, especially against this running offense, Bertrand could be in for a career day, and I like him to eclipse the ten-tackle mark early in this one. If the Midshipmen decide to keep it on the ground all game long, I could see his number getting close to 20 tackles, but for now, let us keep it reasonable with another double-digit sack effort for the star linebacker.
