The Notre Dame football team takes on Virginia on the road in Week 11, and here are three Cavaliers to keep an eye on in the matchup.

The Notre Dame football team will head to Virginia to take on the Cavaliers in Week 11, as they look to move their record to 9-1 on the season. Virginia goes into this game fresh off a loss to BYU in a game that saw them allow 66 points to the Cougars, as running back Tyler Allgeier ran all over them.

As they turn their attention to the Irish, here are three Cavaliers that the Notre Dame football team must key in on Saturday night.

Brennan Armstrong

No big surprise here, as the starting quarterback for Virginia currently leads the FBS in total yards, and can be a downright playmaker for the Cavaliers. Armstrong has plenty of weapons to work with, is very accurate with the football, and this program is not afraid to throw it 40-plus times if they have to.

He is hurt right now and is currently a game-time decision, but all signs point to him being ready to go in this one.

Keytaon Thompson

One of the more versatile players in all of college football, Keytaon Thompson is a former top quarterback prospect who is a do-everythig player for the Cavaliers. From wide receiver to quarterback, to running back, this kid is a “football player,” and someone whose fingerprints will be all over this game on Saturday night.

For the season, Thompson has 216 yards rushing with a close to seven yards per carry average, as well as being second on the team with over 550 yards receiving.

Nick Jackson

Moving to the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Nick Jackson is a tackling machine, and someone who is going to have to be picked up every time the Irish run the football. BYU ran it all over the Cavaliers last weekend, but Jackson was everywhere, racking up 16 tackles, including nine that were solo.

These three players are crucial to the success of the Cavaliers and are three guys who must be keyed on all game long. If Armstrong plays, look for him to throw it 40-plus times, putting pressure on an Irish secondary that could once again be without Kyle Hamilton, and targeting Dontayvion Wicks, who had nearly 1,000 receiving yards this season, another guy who must be stopped.
